One Bess S.r.l. is born: new joint venture between InfraLab and NRGfarm for the development of energy storage systems in Italy

InfraLab announces the launch of One Bess S.r.l., the new company established together with NRGfarm with the aim of accelerating the development of BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects across Italy.

The joint venture will operate in several Italian regions, making a concrete contribution to grid stabilization and to the greater integration of renewable energy sources into the national energy system. In a scenario increasingly characterized by the widespread deployment of non-programmable renewable energy plants, energy storage systems represent a strategic component for ensuring grid flexibility, security, and balance.

The creation of One Bess brings together complementary expertise and a shared vision of the energy transition. On one side, the experience of NRGfarm as an Italian IPP active in the development, design, and management of renewable energy plants; on the other, the know-how of InfraLab, a developer with a pipeline of over 3.5 GW across agrivoltaics, wind power, biomethane, and energy storage systems.

The collaboration aims to strengthen the role of storage technologies in the country’s decarbonization pathway, supporting an increasingly sustainable, resilient, and efficient energy model.

With One Bess, a new industrial synergy takes shape, focused on addressing the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition through the development of innovative infrastructures supporting the growth of renewable energy in Italy.
