Cerrione: green energy for 4000 families

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, InfraLab proudly took part in the inauguration of the Cerrione plant—a 6.5 MWp photovoltaic park originated, designed, and authorized by InfraLab for BayWa r.e., built on industrial land owned by Società Aeroporto Cerrione S.r.l., near Biella-Cerrione Airport.

The 12,000 photovoltaic panels that make up the plant have been installed on single-axis trackers—structures designed to follow the sun’s position, thereby maximizing energy production.

The site will be able to meet the annual energy needs of 4,000 households while simultaneously avoiding the emission of over 4,500 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
